Amplify Arts’ new Patron Membership connects audiences to artists by making space to build and cultivate meaningful and lasting personal relationships. Patron Members receive invitations to monthly events - opportunities to meet innovative local artists of all disciplines and attend exclusive readings, performances, artist talks, tours, studio crawls, and behind-the-scenes experiences.
To celebrate the launch of the Patron Membership program, we are hosting a kick-off event at Haney Studio where painter and photographer Judy Haney and printmaker Amy Haney will share their individual approaches to artmaking. Judy will showcase her cold wax paintings and talk about her sensitivity to the formal aspects of texture and color and how they coalesce in her work to build content. Amy will discuss the ideas and concepts that drive her work and her relationship to printmaking, while she demonstrates one of many printmaking processes she uses to create visual imagery that is equal parts funny, melancholy, and technically stunning. Guests will be able to spend time with their work and gain personal insight into why these two artists do what they do.
This event is free and open to the public. A Patron Membership is not required to attend but space is limited. Please RSVP through this link to attend: http://bit.ly/haneystudiovisit
